The Working group of the European Avalanche Warning Services is working on the harmonisation of the danger levels in the different countries of Europe. Therefore they describe the danger levels in addition to the European danger scale with typical examples. The examples were discussed by the European warning services at the meeting in Slovakia 2007 (see the report section 4). The work is still in progress, why changes are possible at any time.
The examples for the danger levels 1, 2, 4 and 5 have been accepted by all participants. More examples and examples for level 3 are in progress (the differentiation between level 3 and 4 is still in discussion).
